Rhi Ellis is a photographer and she will truly take your breath away. Her website is just full of her amazing photographs. She has a way of capturing a moment and every detail of her subjects. I am going to feature just a small sample of her amazing photographs. She truly has an eye, I would love to see the world the way that she does. There's a softness to her photographs and I really think you can't help but contemplate the universe when you are looking at her photography because it would seem that is what she is doing as well. Enjoy. Source: www.rhi-ellis.com
I stumbled across this interview with Douglas Druick who is the president of the Chicago Institute of Art. I heart Chicago and one of the reasons I love it is because of the Institute of Art. I hope you find it as interesting as I did. R. Nelson Parrish... check out his website. What can I say? I am in love with his Totems made of wood, color, fiberglass, and bio-resin. There are truly remarkable. I love color (you know this) but I also love the geometric style. I find the imperfectness absolutely perfect. source: rnelsonparrish.com
Join the world of the whimsical and maybe slightly disturbing photography by Laurent Chehere. He truly takes you to a different world and is amazing talented. The particular series here is the House Series. Visit his website and see his work it's pretty remarkable.
I watched some Blues Brothers this weekend and was thoroughly entertained. Enjoy! Stuart Klipper is a photographer. I am in love with his simple panoramic landscapes. You can find him at this website. I am going to call this post "The Road". There so much space and adventure in his photographs. I am completely captivated. Source: www.stuartklipper.com
I recently watched Philadelphia Story. If you have not seen it, you really must see it. It stars Katharine Hepburn, Cary Grant, and James Stewart (you really can't go wrong with that combination). For me, it's pretty nostalgic because I remember my mom watching this. It's basically a story of a love square and every man is in love with Katharine Hepburn (and why wouldn't they be?) Katharine's character is headstrong and a firecracker. Cary Grant is her formidable opponent/soul mate, James Stewart is the guy you wish you were really in love with, and the third guy, well the third is the baxter and unfortunately no one really remembers him. It touches on class and wealth and love lost and found. Katharine is beautiful and Cary and James are perfect. The fashion, the quick wit, and wonderful combination of characters really makes this a classic movie.
Erin Case is an amazing collage artist, she does traditional, digital collage, and what she calls interactive collage. I absolutely love collage (this you know) and I am very inspired by what others do and how they put images together that are seemingly so different. I am going to feature her digital collages but be sure to look at her website and see her other collages. Source: erincase.weebly.com/
Obviously the fashion of the Oscars is seriously one of the best part! I haven't been as into this awards season as I normally am, but I loved these three dresses so much that I had to include my Oscar favorites. Interestingly enough they are all blue! All of these three dresses are amazing and simple but Amy Adam's Gucci Gown is my favorite (I really wanted to her win). Blue is most definitely here color and I LOVE it!
