I was recently browsing http://arthound.com, which is a lovely blog that features different artists. She featured Holger Lippmann on August 17, 2012 and I really fell in love. I guess I am excited to feature him because I have never featured an artist like him on my blog. He is a german artist and everything on google says that he is a generative artist. He uses computer algorithms (really I don't know what that means except for cool). I am amazed by what he accomplishes. I am going to feature one piece of art from several of his different collections. We start with this amazing piece where the artist laser cuts into wood. Wouldn't that be so cool to do?
I love the detail and this digital manipulation, I don't really understand the math or the equations but that's okay for me. I love that this has a pointillism feel to it. It's just so interesting to me all the different ways people create.
I find these Corrosive Landscape pieces absolutely stunning. I seriously see this as an abstract oil painting. It's stunning and I am totally in love. He's very gifted.
I love this painting below. I love the transparency and delicate nature of the lines. It's just stunning. You can see more of his work on his website http://www.lumicon.de/wp/.
